Individual Therapy
style=”font-size: 12pt;”>For individuals, I delve into key components and causes of anxiety, depression, self–worth, identity crises, abuse, grief, occupational growth and such. I usually begin with an assessment-oriented approach to get to know you and your history better, so that we can lay a framework for future therapeutic work. Our work together may be comprised of a combination of therapies, to name a few; CBT, Mindfulness-Based therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, DBT, etc. These vary by concern and uniqueness of the individuals I work with. A large chunk of our work together is a combination of emotional processing, education, and behavioural change (aka homework!), which enables meaningful changes in your life.
See a detailed list of concerns I work with and my training here.
What to Expect
You can expect sessions to last 50 minutes. First sessions are usually a combination of reviewing the consent and intakes forms, me getting to know you by asking questions, and you describing your concerns and goals to me. I aim to provide a brief treatment plan by the end of the first or second session, depending on the concerns.
Receipts are provided by email upon payment, which you can then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement depending on your coverage. Please direct questions about your coverage and plan to your insurance provider.
